The Temple of the Heavens

Shirley, our FTIA guide, and Mary Jo at the Temple of the Heavens. The early Chinese were very aware that there was a higher being, even higher than emperors. The temple and 700 acres very serene. Lovely location. Lots of trees and paths. Slight drizzle while we were there, but still very enjoyable.

Last Day in Beijing

We went to the Temple of the Heavens. Very tranquil place. We had a little rain, but still had a great morning. Doug is standing in the place reserved for the emperors.

This is our last day in Beijing, tomorrow, Sunday, we will fly out to Chongqing and will receive Adalyn on Monday afternoon.

The Great Wall

We had a great and incredible time at the Great Wall. Doug said that it was no big deal, he is a real man. He is at top and still smiling. What an incredible site and opportunity to experience to be able to see and climb.
My legs are feeling like rubber, but the experience makes it worth it all.

The Great Wall

Doug after having climbed the great wall, notice that he is still smiling, The climb was quite challenging, at least to me, but he said no big deal, yeah.

We had a great time and what an incredible site to see. Hard to imagine the work and time that went into the building of this wall.

China

We have arrived and have had some time to adjust to time change.

Time of resting. Looks very comfortable, doesn't he. Long flight from Detroit to Tokyo on the 23rd of May. Waiting in line at Beijing airport to go through customs. We went to Tianamen Square and the Forbidden city. Massive and very impressive. We also saw an Acrobatic show on Thursday evening, very entertaining. Today, Friday, May 26, we will be going to The Great Wall. will send more pictures later. We are having a good time, got lots of rest, much needed, last night. Waiting for our guide to meet us to begin the day.

Yeah! The day has finally arrived. We will be boarding an airplane in a few hours and the journey will begin. We will be arriving in Beijing several hours later. We appreciate all of the well wishes we have been given, and want to ask for your continual prayer that we will have a safe journey and bring home the beautiful little girl that is waiting for us. The next entry will probably be from China if all electronics work okay.

"Little Miss Adalyn"

What a wonderful blessing our family has been given by God. I feel blessed that my brother and his family have allowed me to go into the "delivery country" and aid him in bringing this package of joy home to the USA to be the newest member of our family. What an awesome responsibility has been granted to the family. Adalyn, we make a promise to you and to your birth parents, that you will be given every possible chance to grow up with lots of people who will love you unconditionally and forever.

We feel so blessed and grateful for this opportunity.

2nd test

What do you think about this lovely little girl? WHAT A CUTIE!!!!!!!!!!!
